CIMB Islamic Bank provides Shariah compliant property financing through its product like Variable Home Financing-i, Flexi Home Financing-i and Home Flexi Smart-I. It is based on the concept of Ijarah Muntahiyah Bittamik that offers the transfer of property ownership at the end of tenure by paying a nominal amount to the bank.
CIMB Islamic has reinstated a zero lock-in period, down from 3 years lock-in previously. New CIMB Islamic customers will be able to refinance or sell their property without incurring the early settlement penalty.
The margin of financing offered by CIMB Islamic Bank reaches up to 95% and maximum loan tenure is 35 years (in accordance to the latest ruling by Bank Negara Malaysia) or up to age 70, whichever comes first.
All Malaysians and permanent residents above 18 years of age can apply for a CIMB Islamic home loan.
